Long Desert Cruising on Camel-Back-Ride

Tour (A)

Forty Days Road trip (2Nights / 3 Days):

This trip could be organized on this famous road for 3 days or even being extended to end up in Salima Oasis up north in the heart of Libyan Desert. The Forty days Road is an ageless route, which had been used in the ancient times to export products of western African countries. Such as Ebony, Ostrich Feathers, Gold, Ivory & Slaves.

Recently Mr. Michael Usher the famous English travel writer has written a book about this route called (On The Forty Days Road).

However, on the Forty Days Road we find a hundred of hundreds of camel carcasses that could be seen accumulated alongside this road.

Tour (B)

Camel Back-Ride in North Kordofan  (6 Nights / 7 Days):

This trip starts from Khartoum in vehicles to end up in Alobeid for the first night. A short visit will be paid to Shikan Museum, which contains military implements collected of the field where the battle took place in 1883 between the English Colonel/ Hykes Bash and The Mahadya troops.

Next morning we drive to overnight in Bashiree Oasis, which is situated in the heart of the desert surrounded by the desert sea. The breed of camels & sheep’s found in this area are very sought after.

From Bashiree the cameleers caravan start north, eastward to visit Attaweel Oasis, then turning fully westward to Um Sadoon Oasis at a very giant dune, where people can stay overnight to camp, making bonfire, barbecue & Sahara bread made on sandy stove before returning back to Bashiree and take the vehicles back to Khartoum.
